Where Do I Go for Housing Resources?
You can request your Service Coordinator to send the resources for your local housing authority.
What is HUD Housing?
- HUD housing ensures affordable, safe, and decent housing for low-income populations.
- Programs are administered locally by Public Housing Authorities.
- Eligibility is based on income, family composition, age, disability, and citizenship status.
- Tenants often pay a portion of rent based on income, with HUD covering the remainder.
- HUD housing is a critical resource for individuals and families who need financial assistance to access safe and affordable housing.

Residential is not “housing” this is a service provided in your living space. You or a provider will find housing to utilize Residential services. LinkAbility also does not find Low Income Housing for Families. Pease visit the local HUD Office for assistance.
What Type of Daily Living Support Does LinkAbility Monitor & Assist With Requesting?
- “Residential” or Individualized Supported Living (ISL)
- Host Home
- Group Home
- Shared Living
How Do I Qualify for Housing through a Medicaid Waiver or State Funding?
- Be diagnosed with a Developmental Disability before age 21
- Received TCM services in the state of Missouri
- Have waiverable Medicaid
- Qualify for the waiver type you need through assessments and need-based evaluations
- Comprehensive Waiver for ISL, Residential, Group, or Host Home housing
- Foster Care placement through Children’s Division
- Request housing through your Service Coordinator who then writes a request to the Regional Office you are living in
- Wait for the Regional Office’s determination
