LinkAbility Family Report & Resources

Developmental Disability Awareness Month

In 1987, President Reagan recognized March as Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month to increase “public awareness of the needs and the potential of Americans with developmental disabilities” and to provide the “encouragement and opportunities they need to lead productive lives and to achieve their full potential.”

How Can LinkAbility Help You Reach Your Full Potential?

Planning with people who have intellectual or developmental disabilities is essential in helping them achieve the life they desire. Through the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC), Charting the LifeCourse (CtLC) planning tools and resources are available to anyone involved in planning—either for themselves or with others—to reach their “Good Life.”

Talk to your Service Coordinator about Charting the LifeCourse to find more potential services and resources to support you in achieving your “Good Life”!
